2021 Summer Hair Trends
Want to know the summer hair trends for this year?
We are seeing dimensional blondes, the modern take on the retro shag haircut, long and voluminous layered haircuts, and blonde balayage with a bold blonde face-framing piece (called the “money piece” in our industry). We also see guests embracing sunny blondes again versus only cool and ashy blondes. Warm blondes are wonderful in mimicking the natural effects of the sun.

Take a look at your wrist! If your veins appear to have a blue or purple hue, you likely have a cool undertone to your skin. If they appear to have a green hue, you likely have a warm undertone. If you can’t tell or if you see blue/purple and green, you likely have a neutral undertone.
Also check out the color of your eyes! Sometimes even if your skin indicates that a certain tone of hair will work best for you, your eye color may show the opposite. What does that mean? You may be able to get away with both! One complementing your skin or one complementing your eyes. You have choices!
There are warm, cool, and neutral versions of many colors. Even reds have cooler versions and warmer versions that can be customized to fit what would look best on you.
